Wisdom

Scroll Do you not know? Have you not heard? The Everlasting God, the LORD, the Creator of the ends of the earth does not become weary or tired. His understanding is inscrutable (Isaiah 40:28). Oh, the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are His judgments and unfathomable His ways! (Romans 11:33; see also Job 9:1-4; 36:5; Isaiah 31:1-2).

With Him are wisdom and might; To Him belong counsel and understanding” (Job 12:13). God’s wisdom is vastly superior to human wisdom: “For My thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways My ways,” declares the LORD. “For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways, and My thoughts than your thoughts” (Isaiah 55:8-9; also Job 28:12-28; Jeremiah 51:15-17). Do not forsake wisdom, and she will protect you; love her, and she will watch over you. Wisdom is supreme; therefore get wisdom. Though it cost all you have, get understanding. To the man who pleases him, God gives wisdom, knowledge and happiness, but to the sinner He gives the task of gathering and storing up wealth to hand it over to the one who pleases God. For the Lord gives wisdom; out of his mouth – knowledge and understanding; He saves for the righteous; He – a shield to those who walk uprightly; He keepeth the paths of judgment, and preserveth the way of his saints “(Proverbs 2: 6-8)

If any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to him. But the wisdom that comes from heaven is first of all pure; then peace-loving, considerate, submissive, full of mercy and good fruit, impartial and sincere. Blessed is the man who finds wisdom, the man who gains understanding, listens to advice and accepts instruction, and in the end you will be wise. All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be competent, equipped for every good work. The Spirit of God says “I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with my eye upon you” Psalm 32:8.
Listen to Him, search His word, study his scripture and Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, with thankfulness in your hearts to God. Be not proud in your experiences and knowledge; for when pride comes, then comes disgrace, but with the humble is wisdom. Be not wise in your own eyes; fear the LORD, and turn away from evil.

Who among you is wise and understanding? Let him show by his good behavior his deeds in the gentleness of wisdom. But if you have bitter jealousy and selfish ambition in your heart, do not be arrogant and [so] lie against the truth. This wisdom is not that which comes down from above, but is earthly, natural, and demonic. For where jealousy and selfish ambition exist, there is disorder and every evil thing. But the wisdom from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, reasonable, full of mercy and good fruits, unwavering, without hypocrisy. And the seed whose fruit is righteousness is sown in peace by those who make peace (James 3:13-18).
