Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. And we all, who with unveiled faces contemplate the Lord’s glory, are being transformed into his image with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit. Since walking in the Holy Spirit gives us boldness to carry the Kingdom to the world and we receive boldness through the Holy Spirt, we all must be filled with the Holy Spirit.
The first step to walking in the path of Christ-like living is understanding who you are in Christ. Your true personality and character is an identity of a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for his own possession, that you may proclaim the excellencies of him who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light. You were created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them. Upon acceptance of the commission of Christ, you become crucified with Christ. It is no longer you who live, but Christ who lives in you. And the life you now live in the flesh, you need to live by faith in the Son of God, who loved you and gave Himself for you.
Since it is written, “You shall be holy, for I am holy.” (1 Peter 1:16) This statement of Apostle Peter denotes that God is calling us to be set apart. According to Strongs the word Holy is from the Greek word [Hagios] meaning; sacred, pure, blameless, consecrated. Thus, to be holy signifies you are set apart. Therefore, prepare your minds for action; be self-controlled; set your hope fully on the grace to be given you when Jesus Christ is revealed. As obedient children, do not conform to the evil desires you had when you lived in ignorance. But just as he who called you is Holy, so be Holy in all you do.
I appeal to you therefore, brothers and sisters, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship. Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect. Walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh, putting away all malice, all deceit and hypocrisy, envy and all slander.
Pray zealously to receive the Holy Spirit, earn for Him and understand that anything that is asked for the Glory of God in the Name of Jesus you will receive. Anyone who does not have the Spirit of Christ does not belong to him, but he who has him has the fruits of the Spirit. The manifestation of fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. With this fruits also comes boldness to profess the Truth and Freedom. The Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. (2 Cor. 3:17). May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope.
Hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us. When you receive the Holy Spirit, you will receive a new heart, and a new spirit God will put within you. And He will remove the heart of stone from your flesh and give you a heart of flesh. And God will put His Spirit within you, and cause you to walk in His statutes and be careful to obey His rules. You will not have a need to attempt to become Holy, for He will guide you and walk within you. His statutes will be written in you and you will live them without carnal attempts.
Remember that God proclaimed about this a couple millennial’s ago: “‘And in the last days it shall be, God declares, that I will pour out my Spirit on all flesh, and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams; even on my male servants and female servants in those days I will pour out my Spirit, and they shall prophesy. ( Acts 2:17-18). When the Spirit of truth comes, he will guide you into all the truth, for he will not speak on his own authority, but whatever he hears he will speak, and he will declare to you the things that are to come. He who has prepared us for this very thing is God, who has given us the Spirit as a guarantee. He saved us, not because of works done by us in righteousness, but according to his own mercy, by the washing of regeneration and renewal of the Holy Spirit, whom he poured out on us richly through Jesus Christ our Savior. Accept Him and Be Blessed.
