Standing Watch in Faith

Flag Worship As I go about my daily duties today, I started to think on the article “Miracles of Radical Faith” I wrote yesterday. To some, it would appear that I stood strong, that I knew exactly what I was getting myself in to, and that with all the “stormy waters” I withstood and kept my gaze on Jesus. In reality it is not so. At times I would stand in a daze, looking at my children and wife; thinking “what am I doing? Why am I doing this to my family?” Likewise, I would remember that I walked away from a steady and successful career, with a great check and benefit package. Then I would run to a place where I would be one on one with God; letting it all out to Him. Friends, It all starts at His feet. If I wouldn’t develop a habit of running to him, if I didn’t spend time alone with Him, I would not make it this far.

God wants us to be transformed by the renewing of our mind, that we may prove what is good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God. We are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation and a peculiar people; that we should shew forth the praises of him who has called us out of darkness into his marvelous light. As a chosen generation, we need to become the prophets, we need to spend more time in God’s Presence; He has taken all of restrictions off of us. The fastest way to know what’s really in someone’s heart is to remove all restrictions. But through the removal of the restrictions he allows others to see in to our hearts. Enter in to His presence, cleanse yourself by His presence. Let Him take all the burden off, then go and declare His Kingdom and His victory.

I did, I would go before him and let Him take all of my fears, anxiety and anger that would form. The more I ran to Him, the more I learned to worship Him. I continually claimed the promise of Matthew 6:33 which says, “Seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness and all these things will be provided unto you.” This verse is an incredible promise, but with emphasis on God’s provision, we often lose sight of other significant issues of Kingdom Living. I challenge you to Seek His Kingdom, by thinking on it making it yours without grumbling or disputing, that you may be blameless and innocent, children of God without blemish in the midst of a crooked and twisted generation, among whom you shine as lights in the world.

During all of this, pray that God will help you hang tough for Christ no matter how hard your life becomes. Ask God to make you living proof of His power to others who observe your life. Ask Him to give you goals that center on Him and fulfill His purposes. Ask God to give you the grace to accomplish His goals for your life. Strive to glorify Christ in all you do, and look forward to sharing in His ultimate victory. Keep eternity in mind as you live in our temporary, fallen world. Embrace the values that will last forever.

May the God of peace, who through the blood of the eternal covenant brought back from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great Shepherd of the sheep, equip you with everything good for doing his will, and may he work in us what is pleasing to him, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.
