Essential Secret to Renewal of your Mind

We live in a very interesting society today. There are many Spiritual toxins which have influence over the way we behave, think, respond to any conversation. Then when we turn to prayer we wonder in awe on why God does not answer the prayers. However, when someone stands in the pulpit, and talks about an answered prayer, the church community glorifies him to a level of a saint, and gives him titles such as a prophet, apostle, runs around to those conferences trying to see what the secret is. The church community starts to imagine that he or she must be good. The opposite also becomes true; some would contend, that the bible is complete, miracles, prayers answered, man walking in Gods authority was for the past of days. But what is the essential secret to communication with God? Why would God answer prayers?

I would argue that God does not answer prayers because somebody is good. Nobody ever got anything from God because he deserved it. Having fallen, man deserves only punishment and death. So, if God answers prayer it’s because God is good. From His goodness, His lovingkindness, His good-natured benevolence, God does it! That’s the source of everything.

Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, if ye continue in my word, [then] are ye my disciples indeed; And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free. (John 8:31-32)

God promises truth and freedom to all those who love Him and abide in His good pleasure. If we love Him, then we seek a relationship with him. A relationship which is closer than any we ever had with friends, relatives and family. In a life full of uncertainty, the truth of God is wonderful to contemplate indeed! Never need we doubt the veracity of the Lord for He Himself is the measure of truth. He is the standard by which all claims stand or fall. Rejoice in your freedom, O Christian, and use it to pursue the righteousness of God!

Grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To Him be the glory both now and forever. (2 Peter 3:18)

The new covenant of grace (at its very core) is a covenant of relationship. God’s grace enables us to grow in spiritual intimacy with our Lord. “Grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.” Here, grace is linked with growing and with knowing the Lord. As surely as grace was for spiritual birthing, grace is also for growing. The most strategic area of spiritual growth is progress in a deepening relationship with the Lord. Paul prayed in this manner for the saints: “that you may have a walk worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing Him…and increasing in the knowledge of God” (Colossians 1:10).

Furthermore, if we remember the Lord’s prayer, one of the key things he was teaching us is that He brought heaven in to us,

“Our Father in heaven,
hallowed be your name,
your kingdom come,
your will be done,
on earth as it is in heaven…”

Later he said behold, the kingdom of God is within you.

Moreover, in the old testament, we went to the temple but today our bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God. You are not your own but Gods and the power and authority lives within him who accepts Him by the baptism of the Holy Spirit and Fire. A large number of Christians today are backsliders. The backslider likes the preaching that wouldn’t hit the side of a house, while the real disciple is delighted when the truth brings him to his knees.

But the bible states “But ye have an unction from the Holy One, and ye know all things” 1 John 2:20.
“When he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all the truth. He will not speak on his own; he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come” John 16:13.

These are the foundations I’ve come to accept as my belief, however, in the church community today many believers do not know the truth. The church preaches the dogmas of the “fathers” not the Bible; while teaching not from a relationship with the Holy spirit by laying on their face before God. Dogmas. And I warn you against these. The Bible says you will know all things if you haven the Holy Spirit…. Also, it is written that if you have faith, signs and wonders will follow you. Thus, if there are no signs, then there is no faith.

Subsequently, the Bible spends a great deal of time warning believers about false teachers, false prophets, and false apostles. These deceivers may sound holy and have lots of biblical knowledge but they don’t have the revelation or evidence that God’s power is alive and working through believers.

In 2 Timothy 3:5-7 we read about Teachers who deny God’s power

“having a form of godliness but denying its power. And from such people turn away! for of this sort are those who creep into households and make captives of gullible women loaded down with sins, led away by various lusts, always learning and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.”

From 2 Timothy 3:5, we know that false teachers have a form of godliness, which means that they act and sound godly, but deny God’s power. These people will teach that God is all powerful, but that His power is not in operation today, or that it is not available in the same way or at the same level as in biblical times. They teach that God is powerful, but not through us. This is denying God’s power. How can people who do not have God’s power active in their lives teach about it? The Word tells us plainly that we are to turn our backs (stop listening to) to this type of teaching. It is not enough for a person to be able to quote Scripture; it is the revelation of truth from the Holy Spirit concerning those Scriptures that activates God’s power in their lives.

But again, it comes from a relationship with the Father. Jesus has shown us an example of it by spending time with God constantly and saying what He heard the father say, doing what He saw the father do. People, The Kingdom of God is for everyone who wants it and accepts it. It manifests through a relationship with the father and obedience to Him.

May the Lord bless you and may the Lord keep you. And may the Lord make His face to shine upon you. And may the Lord be gracious unto you and give you His peace. May you walk in the confidence that God has given you total freedom; that the Cross has removed your past and guaranteed your future; that you are His and He is yours and your life is destined to be blessed and victorious because of the Blood of the Cross.
