A New Beginning; A New Promise

Passover season is complete, and we walk away with the story of Christ’s story in our memory.  We walk away with a memory of Christ is scourged, crowned with thorns, and beaten; it is fresh in our memory how Pilate was desirous to release Jesus, but being overcome with the outrage of the believers within Judea, he delivers him to be crucified. The last memory of Christ’s death is the casting for his garments, and his words “it is finished”

But was is finished? Jesus displayed the prosperity of the prophets by being one with the Father and fulfilling the prophecy of salvation. He built and finished the promise of salvation, according to the commandment of the God of Israel, but in doing so he made us as the Sons of God & not only as coheirs of the Kingdom of God but living temples on Earth. He has glorified our Father on the earth: He has finished the work which the Righteous Father gave Jesus to do.

He has given us the glory that Jesus received from the Father, that we may be one as He was with the Father; “I in them and you in me—so that they may be brought to complete unity. Then the world will know that you sent me and have loved them even as you have loved me”

Jesus has fought a good fight, He has finished His course, He has kept the will of the Father so that we may keep the Faith. When He said it was finished; He who knew no sin-became sin, died and rose again. When we were born again, we accepted Jesus as our Lord and Savior and became the Righteousness of God.

We cannot lose our position in Christ because we feel like we aren’t worthy. It also doesn’t give us a license to sin. Instead, we are to start out every day in the position of God’s love, being followed by His goodness and loving kindness. In spite of anything, God loves you. But he through Jesus displayed the pursuit of Holiness, thus Let’s pursue His holiness, His character, and live in His gracious love.

Let us remember to focus on being in God’s presence each day, as Jesus did by seeking the relationship of Daddy, Jehovah our God. He wants to come in to us, and sup with us. He wants us to sup with Him. I challenge you this week just to pursue God for who He is!  It’s OK to ask Father God for things in your heart, but I challenge you to take time to pause from your list of requests and just pursue Him for who He is

  1. God bless you, Brother! Such a blessing knowing others like you so strong in Christ! I was recalling that it was through you and this blogsite that the Lord introduced me to both Curry Blake and Dan Mohler back in 2015…
