Sanctification Through Sacrifice of Jesus

20190313_230652.pngFor this is what the high and exalted One says—he who lives forever, whose name is holy: “I live in a high and holy place, but also with the one who is contrite and lowly in spirit, to revive the spirit of the lowly and to revive the heart of the contrite. Be holy, because I, the Lord, your God, is holy.  Observe and follow My ordinances. For I am the Lord who sanctifies you.

We are sanctified only through the sacrifice of Jesus. Make every effort to live in peace with everyone and to be holy; without holiness no one will see the LORD. Holiness does not mean absolute perfection, but separation for a specific purpose. Been set apart from the world. Although we cannot become flawless and blameless, howbeit we can make the effort and choice to set ourselves apart for God. We can choose to be holy.

He has saved us and called us to a holy life—not because of anything we have done but because of his own purpose and grace. This grace was given us in Christ Jesus before the beginning of time. Let us purify ourselves from everything that contaminates body and spirit, perfecting holiness out of reverence for God.

Father, I thank you for creating me for the good works that you intended me to do. Search me, Father, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts. See if there is any offensive way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting. You want me to hate evil and love good , to turn from evil and do good to let me live forever. Let me be one, as You Jesus and the Father are one. Thus, You will keep His word, as you are perfect, and my Father will love us, and we will come to him and make our home with us.

Sing to God, sing in praise of his name,
extol him who rides on the clouds;
rejoice before him — his name is the Lord.
A father to the fatherless, a defender of widows,
is God in his holy dwelling

Thy glory be to you through my life! In the name of Jesus I pray. Amen.
