Be Bold

Old Slavic Bible.jpgAs believers in Jesus we reside in the world – although physically present – but do not belong to it and are not part of its values. As Believers, we must be separated from the world. This is the meaning of holiness and righteous Living – To be separated. We must not engage in the sinful actions that the world offers, nor should we support the empty, corrupt thinking that it is shaping. We should not compromise or choose to be “wise” for this world. Rather, we should constantly subordinate ourselves and our minds to Jesus Christ.

Come out of her”, Says our Savior, “my people, so that you will not share in her sins so that you will not receive any of her plagues”. You belong to God, my friend. You have already won a victory over those people because the Spirit who lives in you is greater than the spirit who lives in the world. Those people belong to this world, so they speak from the world’s viewpoint, and the world listens to them. Do not conform to the pattern of this world but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is–his good, pleasing and perfect will.

If we are to imitate Jesus, we can’t shy away from what is right and true. We can’t remain silent or “wise” just to go unnoticed. We cannot be shadow warriors. Imitating, loving, living as Jesus takes true intestinal fortitude. It will constitute a true, fierce commitment to being authentic. It takes boldness and commitment to speak the truth, to a Christian who is not firm in the foundation of Christ, or any other individual. Likewise, it takes both Love and Truth. Otherwise, we will fail.

Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers. This also means in thought and dead which brings no glory to the Kingdom. For what partnership has righteousness with lawlessness? Or what fellowship has light with darkness? What accord has Christ with Belial? Or what portion does a believer share with an unbeliever? What agreement has the temple of God with idols? For we are the temple of the living God; as God said, “I will make my dwelling among them and walk among them, and I will be their God, and they shall be my people. Therefore go out from their midst, and be separate from them, says the Lord, and touch no unclean thing; then I will welcome you, and I will be a father to you, and you shall be sons and daughters to me, says the Lord Almighty.”

Let us pray, that our love may abound still more and more in real knowledge and all discernment, so that you may approve the things that are excellent, in order to be sincere and blameless until the day of Christ; having been filled with the fruit of righteousness which comes through Jesus Christ, to the glory and praise of God.

Let us become firm in the word of God, search the scripture and search the face of the Lord, destroying speculations and every lofty thing raised up against the knowledge of God, by taking every thought captive to the obedience of Christ. Let us repent, break every tie to any compromise made, and speak boldly the Truth.

But you, Child of Jehovah, do not be afraid of them or their words. Do not be afraid, though briers and thorns surround you, and you dwell among scorpions. Do not be afraid of their words or dismayed by their presence, though they are a rebellious house. But speak My words to them, whether they listen or refuse to listen, for they are rebellious. But you, Child of God, listen to what the Father tells you. Do not be rebellious like that rebellious house. The Father says, “You must speak my words to them, whether they listen or fail to listen, for they are rebellious”. Let it be so, that It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.

Blessings.
